Baima Bridge is located in Baima Town, Wulong District, Chongqing. It is a midheight deck steel pipe concrete tied bridge with a main span of 230m. The total length of the bridge is 263.2 meters, and the width of the bridge floor is 1.0m (overhaul way) +9.0m (carriage way) +1.0m (overhaul way) =11.0m. The left bank bridge junction connects the newly built National Highway 319 and the widened section of the old National Highway 319, and the right bank connects with the construction road and the dam crossing traffic tunnel.
There are 46 hangers in the whole bridge, with a spacing of 8 meters. The hanger specifications are PES7-85 and PES7-91,using φ7 galvanized high-strength parallel steel wire, standard tensile strength ≥ 1770MPa.
The hanger is made of plastic wrapped parallel steel wire bundles and double-layer sheathed. The inner layer is black high-density polyethylene and the outer layer is colored high-density polyethylene.
The upper end of the suspender is a nut-type anchoring structure, anchored on the arch box diaphragm, and the lower end bridge deck anchor point is a pin-type anchor. The anchorage adopts LZM7-85 and LZM7-91 cold cast anchors and pin-type fork lugs.
The inner layer of the finished cable is high-strength and low-relaxation galvanized steel wire, which meets the standard requirements of GB/T17101-2019 " Hot-dip zinc or zinc-aluminium coated steel wires for bridge cables"; The outer layer of the steel wire is wrapped with fiber high-strength polyester tape, and then extruded with double-layer high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which meets the standard requirements of GB/T18365-2018 " Hot-extruded PE protection paralleled high strength wire cable for cable-stayed bridge".
The manufacturing and installation of bridge hanger materials for this project are all undertaken by Liuzhou Guiqiao Cable Co., Ltd.
The Baima Wujiang Bridge is a landmark project. It is also a key water transportation project in the 13th Five-Year Plan, one of the key water conservancy construction projects of the Chongqing ministry of communications, and a major project in the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing twin-city economic circle. After completion, it will be of great significance to promote the comprehensive recovery of Wujiang shipping and open up the "last mile" of the golden waterway from Wujiang to the Yangtze River.
