The Most Beautiful Expressway" Huangqian Expressway Changyuan River Bridge
On December 30, the Huangshan-Qiandao Lake Anhui section of the Huangqian Expressway was officially opened to traffic, marking the completion of the entire Huangshan-Qiandao Lake Anhui section of the G4012 Liyang-Ningde Expressway. The journey from Huangshan to Qiandao Lake was shortened from the original three hours to one and a half hours.
Huangqian Expressway is an important part of the national expressway G4012 Liyang-Ningde Expressway and one of the key integration projects in the Yangtze River Delta. The project connects Huangshan City and Qiandao Lake Scenic Area. After completion, it will connect "the most beautiful golden tourist routes in Anhui and Zhejiang provinces", radiating and driving economic development along the route and surrounding areas.
The Anhui section of the Huangqian Expressway is 25.54 kilometers in length. The project started on August 25, 2020. It is the first PPP pilot model for expressway construction in Anhui Province. The project was completed one year ahead of the planned four-year construction period. In addition, bridges and tunnels account for 82.5% of the Anhui section of the Huangqian Expressway, and the estimated cost per kilometer is 187 million yuan, both setting records in the history of highway construction in Anhui Province.
The first section of the 9.258km long Huangqian Expressway adopts the four-lane high-speed standard with a design speed of 80 km/h, mainly including subgrade, tunnel and bridge projects including Chengcun East Junction, Wudu interworking and deep ferry service area.
Entering the Huangqian Expressway from the Wudu Interchange, you will see a smooth road surface, clear markings, a wide lane view, and green mountains beside the road. Soon you will arrive at the Changyuan River Bridge in Shendu Town.
The first section of the 9.258km long Huangqian Expressway adopts the four-lane high-speed standard with a design speed of 80 km/h, mainly including subgrade, tunnel and bridge projects including Chengcun East Junction, Wudu interworking and deep ferry service area. At the other end of the bridge is the deep ferry service area. The Changyuan River Bridge, which spans the deep ferry section of the Changyuan River, is a bridge famous for landscape design and one of the control projects of the Huangqian Expressway. The Changyuan River flows like a jade belt at the foot of the bridge.
The lower structure of the Changyuan River Bridge is a double-limb thin-walled pier. The main beam adopts a single-chamber prestressed concrete continuous box beam. The upper structure innovatively adopts a steel suspension composite system to reduce the mid-span deflection of the long-span continuous rigid frame bridge, this combined system is the first of its kind in China.
